Walking

Despite what it appears, we're not actually online the whole time, at all. Some new arrivals will be in the house over the next couple of days which is a good development. I've got some key information for people going to America this summer for J-1's who haven't left Ireland yet.

Banks
1. Setup a Bank Account with Bank of America - you can leave the account open after the summer, free banking for the next 5 years, you get a Checking Account (Current Account), a Saving Account and a Visa Debit card (ATM/Laser card) and access any time via online banking - all for free. And they're very helpful if you need any help. Shout out to Minh at the Coolidge Corner Bank of America branch.

Phones
2. Don't go with AT&T, Verizon or Sprint for a SIM card for your mobile. Go with T-Mobile - a more complicated process than the J-1 forms themselves, but free T-Mobile to T-Mobile calls, 750 other minutes and free texts to and from everyone for about $40 a month. There's an add-on if you want Internet too. T-Mobile stores are doing basis Sidekicks at the minute for $99 which is a good deal.

Me and Mark went on a walk today, we left from home and walked to Northeastern University/Museum of Fine Art area. From there we got 2 "T's" to Kendall Square/MIT in Cambridge across the river. From there we walked to Harvard, and their stadium and then across the river, through Allston and then home - about 3 hours walking in total.

I secretly wished we would have been kicked out, just so I can tell the tale that Harvard didn't want me and threw me out.

Yours Faithfully,
